Welcome to our new look CBSM website. There is plenty for you to find out about, including our recent and upcoming events. Belfast is rightly proud of its School of Music. We have a well motivated and highly qualified staff, several of whom play with the Ulster Orchestra and Camerata Ireland; talented and committed students; and an impressive list of courses and group activities to cater for most tastes.

Our long tradition of seeing large numbers of CBSM students achieve top Associated Board results, well above the UK average, supports our philosophy of a holistic approach to music education.  Each year, players from the CBYO make up approximately 50% of the Ulster Youth Orchestra and a few of our students have  been fortunate to be selected for the National Children's Orchestra, National Children's Brass Band as well as the National Youth Orchestras of Great Britain and Ireland.  Whilst a small number of our students go on to study at the finest conservatoires across the UK, many go on to study Music and other subjects at some of the country's finest universities.
