The School of Music is happy to provide instruments through our hire and maintenance scheme. We would also encourage parents and students to consider buying their own instruments, where appropriate.  This can be done through the BELB Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme (AIPS which effectively saves parents the cost of VAT through a government agreed policy with HM Customs & Excise.  Terms and conditions apply.  Advice is available from Heads of Departments and the Head of Music Service.
